Treatment Information

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma and is famously known as the PRP Facial. It is an advanced anti-aging and healing treatment. Your own blood is used as natural filler and skin booster solution that induces synthesis of collagen. This stimulation aids in the overall firming and toning of the skin, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

What's Inside?

Drip Doctors Proprietary Blend

Plasma is a primary component found in blood and is made up of many other elements such as red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors (VEGF) are one of the most important PRP components which functions to increase blood flow, oxygenation leading to increased collagen growth, tissue healing, and skin regeneration.
First, blood is drawn from the patient. Through a process called centrifugation, the platelets are separated from the other blood cells, which then increases the platelet concentration within the plasma.
The use of a patient’s own blood eliminates any allergic reactions associated with blood transfusions.
This newly formed platelet rich plasma is then injected into the specific treatment area, so your skin regenerates collagen and elastic fibers more efficiently.
These platelets aid in the body's ability to heal damaged tissue and promote new cell growth because they contain hundreds of natural growth factors. PRP is an advanced anti-aging and healing treatment.
  • Smoother skin.
  • More even skin tone.
  • Clearer complexion.
  • Rejuvenated appearance.

There are no adverse reactions since this procedure uses your own blood.

Immediately following the procedure, the most commonly reported temporary side effects are redness, swelling, bruising, tenderness, tingling, numbness, lumpiness, and/or a feeling of pressure or fullness at the injection sites and/or in the treated area(s). Cold gel packs/ice may be gently applied immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.

A medical history of metastatic conditions like cancer or disease is one of the most important PRP injection contraindications. Patients with these conditions might have blood that is infected with cancer cells. This factor is especially true for patients that have hematopoietic cancer or cancer of the bone marrow. For this reason, their blood cannot be used for PRP therapy. Other contraindications to PRP include:

  • Low Platelet count: The blood must have a platelet count of at least 105/ul.
  • Insufficient Hemoglobin or Low HGB count: The patient must not be anemic, and the blood must have at least 10 g/dl of hemoglobin.
  • Low Fibrinogen count: Fibrinogen is a part of the platelets in the blood and acts as the key component of the PRP serum. Patients must have a normal count of 200–400 mg/deciliter of fibrinogen in the plasma. If the levels are lower than this minimum range, the blood cannot clot normally.
