D-Shot Treatment Information

Enhance sexual performance and pleasure with a D-shot, more commonly known as a Priapus Shot. Improve overall vascular function, nerve sensitivity in the penis and erectile function. Whether you suffer from poor vascular health, nerve degradation, anxiety or side effects of medication, you can use PRP (platelet rich plasma) from your own blood to inject into the penis for a more vigorous sex life.

What's Inside?

Platelet rich plasma is not only rich in platelet cells but also numerous growth factors that play a role in tissue growth, healing, and regeneration. These specific growth factors include: Transforming growth factors beta (TGFB), Platelet-derived growth factors (PDGF), Insulin-like growth factors (IGF), Vascular endothelial growth factors (VEGF), Epithelial growth factors (EGF), and Fibroblast growth factors-2 (FGF-2).

Cold gel packs/ice may be gently applied immediately after treatment to reduce swelling.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

A medical history of metastatic conditions like cancer or disease is one of the most important PRP injection contraindications. Patients with these conditions might have blood that is infected with cancer cells. This factor is especially true for patients that have hematopoietic cancer or cancer of the bone marrow. For this reason, their blood cannot be used for PRP therapy. Other contraindications to PRP include:

  • Low Platelet count: The blood must have a platelet count of at least 105/ul.
  • Insufficient Hemoglobin or Low HGB count: The patient must not be anemic, and the blood must have at least 10 g/dl of hemoglobin.
  • Low Fibrinogen count: Fibrinogen is a part of the platelets in the blood and acts as the key component of the PRP serum. Patients must have a normal count of 200–400 mg/deciliter of fibrinogen in the plasma. If the levels are lower than this minimum range, the blood cannot clot normally.

PRP leads to new cellular and vascular growth of tissues in the area. There is also the possibility that because the tissue planes under the upper vaginal wall allow for free flow of the PRP around the urethra and around the base of the bladder, the tissues of the bladder base and the urethral sphincter muscles are strengthened.

DripDoctors PRP How does injecting PRP in the penis help improve erectile dysfunction?

PRP contains Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF), that is secreted by platelets in order to trigger a healing cascade and can lead to an improvement in vessel related erectile dysfunction.

Common chronic conditions like hypertension, heart disease, and diabetes can all lead to poor sexual erectile performance. Low testosterone can also be a factor, so it is important to get a comprehensive lab test to ensure levels are within optimal ranges. Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy can also be performed in conjunction with your shot.
